Our quality cabinetry is constructed and finished
to maintain its lasting beauty throughout the years.
Great care is taken in building your cabinetry. We
use only high quality hard woods and products. We offer
an endless array of door styles and accessories, with
a good selection of stains, paints and glazed finishes
from which to choose.
Cabinet Construction:
Our custom cabinetry is built with 5/8 finished birch plywood sides with an
addition 1/8” matching plywood applied and routed flush on all finished
ends. Tops and bottoms are the same with ¼” back’s that
dado into the sides. All cabinetry have 3” solid hardwood hanging rails
both on the top and bottom. We use only solid wood mortise and tenon front
frames and mostly solid wood doors.
All of our doors have a floating panel that allows for the expansion and contraction
of the wood. Most of our doors are mortis and tenon but some full overlay styles
are mitered. We do not make our own doors but purchases them from Conestoga
Wood Specialties, Inc. in East Earl, PA. This is a much larger company and
allows us to design virtually hundreds of doors styles with out the added cost
to you for the machinery required to offer them.
All of our cabinetry have ¾’ solid wood butcher block shelving,
fully adjustable with brass peg shelf clips.
The drawer boxes are 5/8” four sided dovetail, made of solid hardwood.
We use mostly Blum tandem under-mount drawer slides, available in reg. extension
or full extension and in some instances we use Accuride side mounted full extension
slides.
We build our cabinetry in any width, height or depth that is required for the
job. We also use matching interiors on all glass door or open shelf cabinetry.
Woods:
Most of our cabinets are built in cherry, hard or soft maple, red oak, hickory
or knotty pine, but other woods are available upon request.
Finishes:
We offer a large variety of finishes. Custom staining and or paints are available
but they do incur additional costs and lead times.
Our stains are all transparent stains that allow you to view the natural beauty
of the grain in the wood. Our stained cabinetry is a three step process where
we sand the cabinetry, stain it , spray a catalyzed sanding sealer, sand it
again then apply the conversion varnish topcoat. If a glaze is added to the
process it is applied after the sealer has been sanded then sanded lightly
and a topcoat applied.
Our painted finishes are all a conversion varnish product also with the actual
color in both the sanding sealer and the topcoat. Depending on the color you
choose and if there is an additional glaze it is three to five step process
also with sanding in between coats.
Countertops.
We fabricate in shop all of our laminate counters, most of our solid surface
counter’s , we are certified Wilsonart Gibralta and Earthstone fabricators
as well as Hi-Max fabricators. We also fabricate some of our specialty wood
butcherblock tops. We offer granite’s, marble, soapstone, and engineered
stone’s but we sub these out to local contractors in our area.
Sinks:
We sell Franke, Elkay, and Swanstone and soap stone sinks as well as Hi-Max
and Gibralta Wilsonart solid surface sinks. Most of the sinks we sell are
for undermount or farm sink applications.
Hardware:
We have a large selection of hardware to
choose from many different manufacturers. We are sure
to find a
selection to fit your personal style and décor.
